The Blue Catfish is an invasive species that is wreaking havoc in the Chesapeake Bay. Scientists are using full motion video from drones, classified with deep learning algorithms that accurately detect the abundance, size, age, and growth statistics of these predators, leading to better alternatives for recreational and commercial fisheries management.
